Movin' on & Relaxin' with John
Feeling so very much better. Doc came thru with the meds on Saturday. By yesterday I was beginning to feel like a human again. I threw my last smokes away Friday after I left here. So far,so good. I haven't killed anyone-or even wanted to-YET.

Still can't find the friggin' scale. I guess I REALLY didn't want to deal with it. Heaven knows when and where I'll discover it. I have a whole house to clean within the next 3 weeks. Bunco on the 27th. Maybe I'll run across it before than. If not I may have to break down and buy another. But, I know how that goes. As soon as I do, I'll find the perfectly good one that I misplaced.

I've started the new eating plan with R going along 100%. We've been on track for 2 days so far. Very little salt and only healthy stuff in reasonable quanities. I pulled out my old WeightWatchers info earlier. I did real well with their Point System several years ago. We're going to give that a shot. It's a nice variety of food. I just need to sit down tomorrow to read up and give myself a refresher course on counting. Luckily, I kept my old menus and notes, so that should make getting started a bit easier.

I did 10 minutes on the treadmill today. I read that four 10 minutes sessions daily are more beneficial to blood pressure reduction than one 40 minute session. Sounds do-able to me. And easier to think of accomplishing. I didn't want to start all at once, my bp really scared me. Want to give my body a few days to absorb the pills before I go gung ho. I figure tomorrow I'll walk the treadmill twice and increase one time daily until by Thursday I should be up to the 4 times. I'm going to pull out a book and walk and read. Sounds like a good plan to me. Except, once I start the book it's near impossible to put it down. I'd better find something other than a novel!

I finally got a bit of creative juices flowing again. I sat up in my craft room with the sun beating in the windows and worked on some of my Nancy Drew cards. I truly enjoyed it. Been a long time since I've felt capable of creating. Now, I've completed 10. Got the descriptions written for ebay. It's just get the photos taken and start listing. I hope they do as well this time as last time. I have materials to make quite a few more.

I also got out the linens I want to list. I'll get those in the wash tomorrow to freshen them up and then get out the old starch and ironing board and have at it. It's a wonder that I enjoy ironing, as much as I used to have to do as a kid. Daddy's work uniforms, starched stiff enough to stand alone and mother's BIG house dresses. But, I'm one of the wierdos that find some sort of pleasure in a good job done ironing. Does that count as housework? 'Cause I don't enjoy housework. Can't understand why anyone does. And I know some really do. I'll take outside work anytime over inside work.

I'm listening to Johnny Cash American V. His last album. G got it for me for Christmas. He got old, his voice isn't as strong, but Gosh, I still love to listen to him. He's the one and only "famous" person -entertainer type - that I would have loved to have had the opportunity to sit down and talk to and get to know personally. I think he was some kind of man. Purely no bullshit. And truly a believer. I could listen to his music all day long.
